Breaking the 2000 Barrier in December

Homepreneurs started as an idea early this year following a long period of unemployment.  During my non-job search time, I volunteered to organize and facilitate training classes for others like myself in the county.  I was fortunate to meet a wonderful group of intelligent and anxious wannabe workers, increasingly convinced of a concept to help others find employment via their own business.

In August of this year, I started to blog on a semi-regular basis; increasing posts each month to an almost daily routine.  I must confess my surprise at breaking through the 2000 “unique visits” mark earlier today, on December 9, 2010.  No media outlet was contacted; no major effort at a public relations engaged.

What does this all mean?  A few thoughts:

1) A hearty thank you to all visitors to this site – you have validated this concept and my efforts – and I am very grateful and humbled.

2) I make zero money from these efforts at this point.  I haven’t given a great deal of consideration as to how, when or what.  Yes, some cost and effort is in this project, but the positive comments are invaluable and priceless.

3) A need for this blog – and perhaps more – exists and will happen.  A new web site and Facebook presence will be the first outlets in early 2011.

4) Many free tools are used in this work; WordPress hosts for no cost, ditto Twitter, Open Office software is free, and writing is something I enjoy.  If this blog can have more than 2000 visitors in a few months without spending serious capital, surely your business can do the same.

Again, thank you so very much for your feedback, comments, and visits.  Please keep checking back, we’ll try to provide solid and useful content in each post.

Best wishes to all this holiday season.
